This past week, I was at Shopify Unite in San Francisco.  Shopify Unite is Shopify’s annual developer conference where over a thousand Shopify Partners (agencies, developers, marketers) got together to talk shop!

This week is a bit heavy on announcements from Shopify, but there were a few gems I found on LinkedIn and Facebook which also had their developer conference this week as well!

New: LinkedIn Launches Matched Audiences

LinkedIn finally caught up with Facebook and Google with an ability to upload your own list of email contacts for retargeting – they call this “Match Marketing.”  Because of the unique nature of LinkedIn, they took it a step forward.  Everything is pretty much the same, except for “Account Targeting.”  Yes, that means you can target companies based on a list of companies (not just contact list) – this feature isn’t quite available for self-serve, but this is a new way to “retarget” based on accounts you’re targeting while would be great for building out your wholesale or boutique reseller accounts.
